Is there any where you can buy wiper blades etc without going to a repair garage.

in girne ive seen a couple .



best way to describe is up from 1001 on left hand side ,behind a row of shops .

there are several spare shops

The ones Kay means are on the street below tin pan alley. If you walk down from Girne town square, pass the arcade on the left, turn left then second right, then left, the one I use is the last on the left, they speak English.

ps it's a no smoking shop

Just past the post office in Karaoglanoglu on same side next to supermarket there is a spare parts shop and the man speaks excellent english. Similar to Universal parts but cant remember the brand name. I used it to get spark plugs and leads. Very helpful and easier to get to and park right outside.

There is a place in the 'Old Turkish quarter' that is an aladdins cave of spares. If you exit the main car park in Girne and turn right towards the main (post office etc) road, go straight across and enter the one way system and the shop is up on the left hand side before you get to the guy that does the picture framing.

Mr Pound at the moment does two sizes of windscreen wipers so make sure you know which one you want.

Also Mr Pound does a pack of spare car bulbs which are useful to keep in the car.
