& btw has anyone tried the real/pretend MacDonalds in Lefkoşa? Drove past yesterday and it looks exactly like the real thing but we had just had lunch! Any feedback on taste/prices?! I have a Turkish friend who is a big Macdonalds fan but obviously can't get to the south!

If coming over the mountain from Girne turn right at the boulder roundabout and the BMW dealership (Cangar) is on the left hand side about a quarter of a mile along.

yes tried 'Big Mac' last week - not quite MacDonalds, but none the less good burgers. they were fairly all over the place - but I think they had just opened. Would go back.

Tha main Cangar dealer is near the bus terminal, they have moved BMW to there as well I believe. If you turn left at the boulder roundabout and head as if you were going the airport, continue along until you come to the traffice lights where the large Fiat garage is on the right hand side, turn right and head down towards the bus terminal and you will see Cangar on teh right hand side just after the roundabout... I saw a mini cooper there on Monday so I know they sell them there.

Joandjelly's directions would be fine if they said turn right at Gonyelli roundabout, straight over the lights, then three miles or so on the left just after offsetsan pool supplies.

Be careful to check when the car was actually produced, he has a lot of cars laying around collecting dust. Make sure it is really a 2009 latest model. With Cangar you need to barter very hard, he will always give discount and I would say 80 percent of his sales are on credit.
