June 19th 2005 when I married Geoff. He's the love of my life and I thank God for him everyday.

This is followed in second place by the day I got my Decree Absolute freeing me from the previous Mr Kitty!

Other top days include the days my lovely nieces and nephews were born, the day I passed my driving test, the first time I welcomed my mum and dad to our lovely home in TRNC.

msg 6, and a few others Brins. Seriously though, can I nip over and take my pick of the pics on the happy day.

My happiest day was Monday Feb 21st 1966 when I married my Denise (guess who's reading over my shoulder) followed by the 1966 World cup win, Leeds beating Arsenal in he FA cup final, Leeds winning their first League Championship at Anfield and Michael Vaughan winning the Ashes in 2005.

Oh yeah, and my son being born in Aug. 1966. Close thing that

how wonderful is to see how many of us think that the wedding day was the best day of our life, and that is without taking anything away from the day the children where born. you see, we shout, screem, we fight etc. but at the end of the day the most important thing in our life is the person we love, so we need to cherish him/her for as long as we can because one day he/she wont be there any longer. money, houses cars etc. mean nothing if you have nobody to share them with. life it's so short.

well said Guido, very true!

So many great days come to mind, can't think of a best one, one of the most exciting and happy ones was when I left to work as hotel receptionist for Club Med last year in Portugal then Turkey, flights and 5 star accomodation and food all paid for, excellent experience! and then I met my fiance in Turkey and we have been very happy together since, so best days lead to even better days in my experience but you have to make your own destiny, follow you heart, be active, enjoy every day to the full, don't complain about the heat, go to the beach! Keep in touch with loved ones and let them know you are thinking of them and missing them even though you may chose to live far away, Life's a journey not a destination there are even better days yet to come, keep smiling!

I agree with Nat, the best days lead to better ones.

For me

5th place: the day Luba agreed do go out on a date

4th Place: the Day luba agreed to be my wife, also christmas day 2005

3rd Place: August 2006 the day we did the deed

2nd Place: April 2009 the day I found out I would be a father

1st Place : August 3rd 2009 the day I found out it will be a boy (I was never bothered about boy or girl until I found out it would be a boy, just a little bit happier this way I think)

And this will all be superceeded with god's blessing at the end of November beginning of December by the birth of my son.

Part of an old scottish blessing is:

May the best yiv eer seen be the worst youll eer see.

Translation:

May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.

My hopes for all !!!

Steve said it was the day our first child (daughter) was born - as it seemed such a wonderful achievement! but made you realise you suddenly had a huge responsibility - probably for the first time in your lives.

Our wedding day was very special for me - 32 years in September.

Nice to have caught up with Liz, Sheila and Guido last month (having a nice meal at Guido's is always a special day) Oops are we allowed to say this?

It was also nice to have sat next to Sandie on the plane and congratulations to both you and Mike!

Best Wishes Irene and Steve

Message 33 - am up v. late tonight, as got involved in a very good film (makes a change!)

So, sorry everyone, another one for my joint first place is:

Meeting lovely Liz (who does indeed look years younger than she is)

Meeting lovely Guido (he's like a younger, more handsome, Pavarotti) and he has a great sense of humour!!

Liz - sorry to go off the point here, but do you know how much longer Jeff and Katherine are here for? Would really like to meet up with them again in September, if possible.

Lots of love to you both

J

Hi Mike and Sandie,

Maybe our paths will cross as we shall also be back out in mid September for a couple of weeks. We shall certainly be returning to Guido's at some point in the holiday - seems to be a good location to meet up.

Hi Shiela,

I picked up the Argos book first thing during my lunch break on Monday - it weights a ton - its the size of one of the Littlewood's catalogues - so if I get charged for excess baggage you will have to stump up the readies !!

Hi Jean,

We will be arriving the day after you so its looking promising for the carrot crunchers to meet up!

Best Wishes

Jean, Paul, Lilli...

Sorry I didn't spot your question earlier. We are leaving probably 10th September (ish). We want to be in the UK by the 13th for my parents ruby wedding, so at very latest we will be here until the 12th.

Let us know what dates you are out - hopefully we can hook up.
