Vince, did you buy the car or selling it? You could do a Keith Moon and drive it into your pool and if your chemicals are now working, would give the car a nice sheen!

Hate to say it but it looks a little like you've been caught out for trying to help someone out yet again.

I volunteered a while ago that I was coming out to NC & could deliver urgent/important mail. I was duly asked to & safely delivered a letter to persons advocate in Girne. Unfortunately despite my requesting that he email his client to acknowledge receipt it, said advocate promptly put said letter in 'NC advocates Urgent tray' which meant he ignored it. Result, much stroppy emails to me, insinuation that I hadn't delivered letter & another trip to said advocate to get him to email his client.

On same occasion I was also asked to bring over a young persons birthday cards. When collected from me I felt as if I should be grateful for having brought them out.

Lesson - I don't volunteer any more.

Hector....although it is sad to have to feel that way ,I think that you are right.

It's the same with personal recommendations.....I will not recommend anyone or anything, because as soon as the slightest thing goes wrong, your friends or family almost blame YOU for having recommended it in the first place !

Sorry to be a party pooper but as a Customs Officer you should NEVER carry anything for anyone else when travelling. Even if you know the person it's not worth the risk. It could be anything in the letter/parcel and who gets stopped? you do! Okay, lecture over.

Sounds like a clocked / flooded import, Richard - is that why you've only offered 15 notes?

Cronos. We're doing a 50/50 for the moment, although in the next 12 months will be spending more time over here than in UK. Going to try out Jan/Feb, and see how much we realy like it over here then maybe make a decision.

negativenick..them leather seats are a real a**e burner aren't they. Must have a trip to 1001 and get some nice sheepskin seat covers, but beach towels will suffice at the moment.
