Man City wont even finish top 8 unless they tighten up defence, they were hopeless at the back against Rangers last night.

Celtic and Rangers to join English Premiership next season..........Spurs and Man City already voting NO. Maybe Mun U and Arsehol-nel and Chelsee could join the Scottish premier league? Maybe then Arsehol-nel would get regular European football

WELL DONE THE CELTS

BigMart - the thread subject couldn't be clearer so why not just skip past it? You don't have to get involved if you don't want to especially if it's of no interest to you, but there happens to be quite a few footie fans on here who enjoy a bit of friendly banter between themselves.

Anyway, it's the Ashes tomorrow - so come on England!!

I live overlooking temuz 20 ground. I often go in to watch the matches. The passion and noise generated by and for these no more than English pub teams is phenomenal. The supporters are more knowlegeable abot the premier league than most Englishmen. UK soccer is a big part of TRNC life, if you can't see that big mart, I suggest you get out more.

The first laugh so far is Rangers and Celtic joining the Premiership. They would both struggle in the Championship and should be playing losers like Leeds and Darlington.

A good value bet is with Wilsonbet who are offering 90 to 1 that Spurs get relegated, definately worth a tenner.

cjtill, who do you support then, as a lifelong Leeds supporter I await the good times coming again. Better to be a has been than a never was. Mind you, as a 58 year old female with a sour disposition I suppose a never was describes you best. A bit of advice regarding what's left of your dried up life, don't knock others for enjoying what you don't understand.

I support 3 teams

1. England

2. Anyone who is playing Scotland, but most of all

3. The team I have got my money on.

Re message 19:

Unfortunately this proves to me that football fans can get too carried away and treat the game as 'tribal warfare'. Every football thread I have seen ends up the same way. I am waiting for someone to prove to me that I am wrong. If you all have a common passion then at least share it without falling out. In my eyes football is no better than religion. In fact for many it has become a replacement for religion.

As a Donny Rovers fan our season doesn't bode well, sold our best 2 players and replaced them with numpties.

We might be the best footballing side in the division but 9/4 with skybet to get relegated is too tempting to resist.

I'm sure that the 5th longest serving manager in the various leagues, Steve Tilson of the mighty shrimpers [Southend Utd] will again more than acquit himself with a very small squad of players and hopefully will win promotion to the Championship, or at least the play-offs. In terms of resources and results, he deserves a medal as he took over Southend when they were in danger of going out the league. His results over the yearsd speak volumes.

As for the Premiership, I'm hoping Steve Clarke and Gianfranco Zola again perform miracles.

As for Man City, bearing in mind how much they've spent, if they don't perform immediately, if I was Sparky I'd be checking how much I would get as a severance payment..........................

Thats the red 'n whites you support then. Listening to Baba Noel go on about the black 'n whites you tend to forget about the second 'ull team.

Noticed you mentioned Brid. fc. Are they worth watching? only live 8 miles away,
