How can you get cheaper calls

Can anyone please advise how you can obtain the cheapest land line phone calls from the UK to a mobile phone in NC. Looking to save costs. Thanks in anticipation.

0871 551 6363 and follow the instructions. Calls to mobiles are usually around 8p per minute.



0844 566 3636 to Landline numbers and usually cost 5p per minute.

Bear in mind that it depends whether the mobile 'phone in TRNC is a local, e.g. Turkcell / Telsim or a Foreign (UK for instance) 'phone on 'Roaming' Tariff...

Hi Ossie try, 08717727727 I think it`s 7p per Minute Another one is 08716540909 and 08445900303 one is form a landline the other from a mobile, cant remember the cost per minute but quite cheap.

The number I suggested does not depend on whether the mobile is local or roaming. It is 8p per minute to whatever mobile number I call, wherever it is in the world from Singapore to Ireland.

put 18185 into your browser and join the site (no cost) before you dial just prefix with 18185 and normal number and calls to a mobile in nc are charged at 7p per minute.

i have used this for 3 years no problem, my last bill was £2.20.

Sorry, that wasn't directed at you, but at the original poster...

You and I posted almost simultaneously, so I never actually saw your post - you are obviously a faster typist (and thinker) than me...

And really I was thinking of the situation where the caller might be in the UK, calling a UK mobile which was 'roaming' in TRNC - it might be cheap for the caller but expensive for the recipient!

I have a shipment of uk sim cards coming soon. This is a totally new system, basically it gives you a uk mobile number and you can use it in the north and south of cyprus. There is no roaming charges so you can have a uk number in cyprus that friends and family can call you on without any cost to you. The best bit is that if your friends and family have free minutes with their mobile phones tariffs which they all do nowadays they can call you for free.



Calling back to the uk is only 35p a min to a mobile and 30p to a landline. I think this is cheaper than turkcell and telsim.



This also works in Turkey and most of europe. I just came back from the usa and even used it there, never cost a penny to receive calls.

Ossie - The cheapest I have found is with Best Minutes 1/2p per minute to NC Landlane and 4p minute to Turkish mobile. Log onto their webstie to find out the preceding number to dial. Can be a bit hit and miss though, sometimes cut off and have to redial, but most times it is fine. Sandie
