Zappers for air conditioning unit

Hi

I've been quoted £125 for a new board for my zapper for an air conditioning unit. Does this sound about right?

Don't remember what make it is but have got friends going over on Sunday so I could do with having it done early next week! Can you just buy a new zapper or is it better to get it fixed?

I bought 2 Universal remote controls from Maplin in Livingston (Scotland) in June and they work on our units. they cost £7.99 each. They can also be ordered on line.
