Hi chegwin,

Totally agree with you, a much appreciated hardworking and dedicated team, who are doing all they can to turn our site around. Sorry Pipie but you have to pay if they manage your site and you don't get water if you don't

absolutely well spoken chegwin my good man, ye be mischief making again methinks and to you also fair maiden butlers wife, it is but a fact that what you quote is true.

Indeed your new maintenance company are working hard to bring your complex up to standard and are having some hiccups along the way, however you will 'I am sure' reap from what you sow, good luck

We have 57 units on our development.

FCC took over from the previous company earlier this year and things were not in the best of a maintained state at takeover. Since then there has been a lot of ground work done in order to assess what the priorities were and start from there.

There have been problems with some of the service infrastructures so before fancy landscaping can take place these have to be addressed and work is ongoing.

I think all dues and fees are paid up now with possibly the exception of one owner. Any owners that do not pay do not get water. That is how it works.

FCC have a huge challenge on their hands but are approaching the problems systematically and over time, with their expert and experience to drawer from will result in a well managed development.

I will admit that in the early days I was skeptical but having witnessed FCC’s professional approach I am now in no doubt they will continue to improve and we will end up with one of the best developments on the

Chegwin, here here and well said for FCC.

I'm sure that Incilay @ FCC will sort it all out and get your site running as it should be with the owners and management company working together. FCC tendered to run our site last year and although they didn't win the tender I would have been happy for them to have run our site if they had. As it is, our current MC have done a fantastic job and, like you, money has had to be spent putting certain things right on some of the less visible things in order that we can save money in the future. Having said that we have still been able to invest (OUR) money on some visible improvements and there will be many more to come in the future. Get the foundations right and you can build a great house on them as the saying goes.

Next year, with a lot of the unseen stuff paid for and attended to we will be able to improve on the aesthetics of our site even further. This can only happen to any real degree if a site is run on a 'FUND' managed basis, and you know where EVERY PENNY has been spent. Our owners association and our MC (D&B) work very closely and our MC consult with us on everything, which is as it should be. This working relationship works very well and the reason it does is because everything is totally transparant. There are too many MC's out there who strut around thinking that THEY own the sites and want to make their 'pot of gold', so nice to see that owners on your site, like ours, have finally woken up and seen the benefits.

This year we have had owners coming over who were previously against changing our old MC but have now written to us admitting that they were wrong and are very pleased with how the site is looking and running. Long may it continue.

I know that 'the butler' came up and visited our site to find out how things ran, so it's nice to see that your site is now following a similar and successful path. I know that the owners at Bufavento village when I spoke to some of them last year were very happy with FCC too.

I like to hear all this positive stuff it is great that you are all reasonably happy i bought on tqb in the early part of this year and the maintenance company were tearing there hair out because they couldn't get there money in and it was them that was pouring money into the place to try to please us owners, and sincs they packed up i cant get any answers from anybody about what is going on we were told on here a while ago that a new company had been awarded a contract and it would nbe announced in a day or two i am still waiting.

I have read the other companys web forum and there is information on there but i see pipie always wants to ask things and she lives there so maybe she will be able to tell us because somebody said she was forming a committee to run things

Hi Tom,

When forming a committee, it has to be done properly. This means finding a minimum of 7 people who are willing to stand. Committee work is hard and requires a commitment and time, once you have at least 7 people who have shown an interest you need to ballot all owners and they vote on at least 5 of those people standing for the committee. It is not something that one person says they will form but a desire from all owners to partcipate in. All things need addressing and discussed with all of the owners before being passed.

I wish you well in this and hope you find the 5 dedicated and committed owners required.
