Do you mean that the locals weren't very welcoming towards us foreigners....or that the locals weren't made to feel welcome by us foreigners?

Usually a very friendly place that makes all welcome. Service is excellent and atmosphere usually good. Has been better since it changed hands.

Yes I am a Local. Been here for 10 years now.



20 years old I am and I happened to go down there for a drink.



Its a lovely place and was just wondering if anyone had felt uncomfortable

around me and a few buddies. We didnt do anything wrong. Just thought id post

my worry the wrong way around hoping to find some feedback.



But all is good and it is lovely up there.

I think it muight have been better to ask the question straight out, You might and probably would have got some sarcasm but I am sure if anyone had felt uncomfortable would have been grateful that you were concerned about offending them if indeed you did.



My first reaction however on reading this was "I probably don't want to go there then !!"



Not really what you were aiming at I think however now that you have explained I say well done, there are not too many people I know who would have the guts to ask if they had Pee'd off anybody when out for a drink,

I know that I certainly wouldn't but then I am fairly confident that I always manage to P someone off and I reaaly wouldn't want the wife writing criticism's to me all day

This is a very strange thread and makes you wonder about any ulterior motive.



I have never heard any bad reports about Liasons,it is one of my "locals" when I'm over there ,and since it has been under new ownership I've heard it's even better.



I would suggest that people try it and form their own opinions before reacting to any cryptic commentary on here.

I was not originally going to write anything but this thread seems to being going in a different direction to what I expect you intended it to.



Approx 10 to 14 nights ago there was trouble in the village between some young mainland Turks and Pakistanis, as I have heard the story 2nd or 3rd hand I don't really want to pass comment on it but I would imagine that when you turned up with your mates, and going by your answer above you are 20yrs old and I would think that your pals are all about the same age, I can only guess that some of the locals (both expats and TC's) in the village may have been worried that something was about to start again. As Liason's is in the middle of the village, they were all probably a little concerned.



As you say, all is okay and there has been no more problems in the village, it was a one off and I hope that it does not deter people from visiting it. It is a lovely village with alot to offer.

Alibop.....is the confusion because Rumours is basically the old Liasons relocated...ie , all the staff from Liasons of old transferred to the recently opened Rumours?
