Jo Valentine is very good and e-mailed us back really quickly. You can phone her as she does not keep office hours and is very helpful, she is moving us over to Lapta at the end of this month and nothing has been to much trouble.

Try EUROMED,they have office in north London and Famagusta.Dont have their phone no anymore but can be optained from operator in uk.I thought their prices was good as well

I paid just over £2000 last year for door to door service. My container was at home in 2 days of arriving to Cyprus.

ps.That price was for 20 ft container.

Michael,

Last Thursday contacted Olaytrans (following the reccomendations from the members). They promised to call me back on Friday which they did (quite impressed) They quoted £2,300 for a 20 ft container from Cambridge to Kyrenia, but said we had to supply the boxes and pack every thing ourselves and also when the container arrives the driver was not allowed to help. There was a promise to give us the name of packing company but their services would be £500 just for packing! I wonder if recent uses of Olytrans can confirm this is a reasonable quote?

Straybearx,

We have recently moved to TRNC and we used Olaytrans, we were quoted £2300 which did not include packing. We packed all our own goods and friends helped us to load the container which was not such a difficult job. Our goods arrived here on time and intact, there was about 78tl duty to pay on some electrical goods but no hidden costs. The service was first class from start to finish, we didn,t have to unload at this end, their guys did all of that for us, I wouldn,t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Good Luck with the move

Hattie

Hattikins,

Many thanks for the update, we don't have a problem with proceedure just wanted to know we were not paying over the odds. Olytrans have a lot of fans on Cyprus44, I'm sure we will be adding to their fan base

Just remember if your loading the container to have a step ladder to hand as our container was on a special truck ready to roll/swing straight onto the boat. It was quite a way off the ground, but more than doable I would add, but helps if you have a number of friends to help. Also you are only given 2 hours to load the container otherwise it costs more, and believe me it has to be done quickly as it's surprising how long it takes to load the container safely to protect your contents.

Hello Mike

Am I missing something? An email reply went to Sandra on the 6th August, straight after she telephoned me.

More water/less sun needed?

Keep happy

Jo it's a little delay since I enquired about shipping companies. As I have seen your reply to Sandra was a list of shipping companies to transport her goods to you.

You quote you can pick up virtually anywhere,so why not in Essex?

Sandra and I want a company to collect in Essex, ship to Northern Cyprus.Do you not do this?

Her goods, approx 15 boxes will be available by the end of August.

ONE company to do total job,no sub-contractors!!!

Can you please email her direct.

ps lots of sun and water here

Mike
