I thought it was truly moving and inspirational. However, what I don't like is when the film-makers try to attach some religious or Biblical slant on the story....I'm thinking of the background music and the biblical quote at the end. This is not about "God"....this is about one man's love for his son. Some may argue that God gave him the strength to do these events. I would ask why this same God inflicted the severe physical disability in the first place.

Is Cronos some secret theologian. Why suffering? Why good and evil? Or does it show the triumph of good over evil; of 'amor vincit omnia'; and of course one can only admire a view from a mountain top, whilst others get stuck in a valley with no view. No answer Cronos, other than to rejoice in the victory of the human spirit, and the greatness of the gift of love, whatever you believe the Source to be! Real tear jerker which helps you put your moans into perspective, isn't it?

Marie....if you read my post again you'll find that I DID find it truly moving and inspirational, but I questioned the filmmakers motives for bringing the Bible/God into it. Hope this is OK.

yES i know you did. But it was probably made by a Christian film maker - that is why God features in it, and the Biblical quote from Philipians was probably given to inspire everyone to believe that God does give stgrength. But of course, your question is more than valid putting a different perspective on it. But I bet it was made by Christians, and evangelical ones at that. So, that answers your question - they couldn't do it any other way. Innit?
