| Hi,im bringing in a Ford Ranger Crewcab...i have been told by customs i need to pay the duty at the port as its a commercial vehicle.....the police have told me it is also illegal for a brit to own a commercial vehicle in the TRNC....but im told by the police its ok to own a crewcab pickup as its not classed as a commercial...confused |

| we have a ranger here which we brought in a few years ago. we had to pay tax as soon as it arrived because they class it as commercial. if you haven't brought it in yet, don't we had to pay 12k tax on it! there was a post here a while back when someone got their twin cab to the port and was told that because they had changed the rules they could no longer bring it and and had to send it back. they sell rangers here at the local dealers but they are not the latest spec more like 2000 models. my advice would be sell it in the uk and pick up something here. a tc friend of mine who has a car site has quite a lot of twin cabs, which he brings in from the uk, so you could get something clean with uk spec. |
