Has anyone used Swift transfer to move money from HSBC Girne to a UK bank. Any problems, doing it with internet banking

No problem whatsoever. I have transfered small amounts from HSBC Girne to HSBC UK. You will get a telecon asking permission to continue within hours of request, say aye, and it is done. Never tried to transfer anything substantial, dont have it anyway in TRNC, this could open a whole new can of worms through money laundering regulations - be careful. But as far as security goes, not a problem.

I have just trasfered money over the internet from my hsbc in girne to hsbc u.k. no problems it is the same as the internet banling here think the limit is around £23,000 per day also changed from ytl to sterling online then trasfered to u.k.

yes HSBC have a $40.000 a day limit regardless of the currency so just send the amount in a couple of goes i have used it a few times

Out of curiosity



What transfer fees did HSBC charge for doing this online as there seem to be a lot of variation between banks and the website fees list is confusing about whether you pay one or two fees ?

I will be transferring from HSBC girne to a different bank in UK if needed. Seems no problem ,didnt want to be caught out though.
