B Positive Blood - Urgent Requirement

There is an urgent requirement for B Positive Blood at the Blood Bank at Lefkosa State Hospital.



Two patients requiring surgery are waiting as there is no blood available for them, due to high demand for this blood group this week (one patient has used more than 20 units due to surgery).



Please contact me on 0533 877 9191 if you are B Pos Blood Group and are able to donate.

there is another post abot the blood type with some info on it re the database. Nurseawful may be able to help you

Don't forget there is a BRS blood donation day on 19th September at Girne 10a.m. to 1p.m. Everything you give there helps lots of people (well, indireclty, if not directly!)

Hi Karen Blood Bank Database Manager what exactly is your role? I would have thought it included checking the Database when blood is required & contacting potential donors? But obviously not as you did not contact me.

Expect you are now going to say ‘but you have never attended a BRS Blood Donors Session’ how exactly is that relevant when on the BRS application form you are asked for your Blood Group.
