I have discovered a hornet's nest in my porch roof.



Can anyone advise how it can be eliminated or a company that could do it for me?

If the same as Lapta Belidiye go and see them and they will organise somebody to come and get rid of it. Good Luck

I have seen on my travels what looked like black upside down rubber cups tied together hanging from trees and palms. When I asked what they were I was told fake hornets nests!



Evidently if you buy wone of these and hang them up, no hornet or bee will go near as the sight of another hornets nest meants war!!!



I have been told you can buy them on the internet but do not know where. As I have seen them in TRNC, I would have thought you can buy them out there. I have seen them around Bafra but also on the new road from Gecitkale to Kyrenia.



Anybody any ideas?



I would love to know if you can and if so where and how much.

Hi Joe Soap, we also have this problem. There is a little shop next to Kyrenia Hospital that sells garden supplies and all types of poison for hornets, cockroaches etc. The guy is very helpful. Try there, we did and got rid of our nest.

we had one last month in our olive tree we were told to put ant powder in. It took about 4 goes and lots of running away as we were chased but after 2 days they had gone. Hope it works for you, but put on your running trainers

Thanks too, to Kazbo...... my wife is the gardner so will be getting some trainers for her along with the ant powder.
