Someone asked for my email details .... its on my file ...didnt think much about it so i have put my email on here ... just got some stranger on my msn ..... wanting to know all about me ... mmmmm ... and where am i living at mo ... pleae be carefull ....im not happy at the mo about this ... forgot you dont have to be a member to view details .... has this happened to anyone else

ID asking about my villa just seemed odd i dont know why ... then this person ask me to add him which i did on my msn .... then i realised this person just wanted my details and pictures and whether i was living in the vila ..... he kept asking me where i was living now .... i didnt send any pictures of my home thank god

=> Not true, kimosh. Try it yourself. Log out and than try to view member details, you'll get this: "You must be a member and logged in, to see member profiles."



So it might be some member of this board who is harassing you. There are plenty of ways to find out quickly who is emailing you (or approaches you in a chat program).

When I know someone and they reciprocate trust then I will let them have my email, and info.But on a forum, you only need to upset someone and then they could use it against you. Some on here I would not even let them know my Christian name, others, perhaps in time yes.

I know a lot cannot handle the anonymity, but tough, its my choice not theres, if they dont like it, its their problem not mine lol

Someone from the South emailed me pretending to be intersted in the sale of my villa, eventually, the emails turned nasty & very threatening. I reported them to yahoo & haven't had any since.

I think an ID check is a way of trying to find out the identity of a person through his or her email address as posted under ones description on this forum. It's a way of getting round the Forums identity protection I think, & possibly a way to try & intimidate someone.

Fortunately I received an email telling me that he had so tried (see message 2). He has not had the courage or courtesy to reply to my email to him or my messages at 2 & 13 above as to why he did so.

Have you recently, or at that time joined another forum? Sometimes they do checks on you ID/IP to check you are who you say you are, he may do this for several forums.
