How to find out your blood group for free!

I have had a few e-mails from people who would like to give blood in an emergency but don't know their blood group.

So heres how you can find out for FREE.

Go to Lefkosa main Hospital go through the main enterance and into the first building on the right. Tell them you wish to donate a unit of blood, you don't know your blood group and could they please let you know. It doesn't take long and you might just save a life that day by giving that unit of blood.



Also the same applies to the people who do know their blood groups if you are in Lefkosa for any reason pop in and give a unit.

nearly forgot the BRS blood donor day is at Girne Hospital on 19th September 10am until 1pm.

Just remember to take lots of cold water with you as it still can be hot at this time of year. Alternately the hospital sells water from the vending machines so take lots of coins.

Nurseawful, I used to give blood years ago, but they stopped me because I nearly passed out.

Is it worth a try to do it again? I suppose I'm a lot older, and maybe not quite so frightened now.

i will be going to find out my blood group and let you know... god i hate needles but know its for a good reason... do i get a lolly pop after?
