Has anyone recently done this?

The main problem seems to be the shipping of goods, immigration and permit from the Muhtah.

I have a house, lived here for a year and have applied for citizenship

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike. Best of luck with your fiancee`s move. Only thing that intrigues me is the fact that you have applied for citizenship. I understood you had to have five yearly stamps in your passport for temporary residency before you could do this!!!? Maybe you already have. Would be interested to know.

Hi Mike

I think you do mean Residency, whistler is right you have to have five stamps in your passport then apply for citizenship, but then only about 30% do actually get it, but cross that bridge then.

If you ship with Dolphin they do all the leg work with Immigration and make it so easy, then they advise you when to get the Muhta's letter, they were so helpful as I didn't have a clue and did the lot on my own, at least Sandie has you helping her which is great.

Best of luck to you both

Ricky please dont start with those sick jokes, no one is listening to you

Actually it is now six stamps then you can apply for permanent residency. (BRS last week)

You probably won't get it but then it depends on who you know.

Hopefully DC won't read this.

When my son and his girlfriend came over here a few mths ago and asked about residency the police were concerned that they weren't married! They went on to say that they would need seperate bank accounts (not joint) and any rental agreement/home ownership had to be in joint names. It all got very confusing.......... If this is the case, maybe Sandie could change her name by deed-poll in the interim and re-new her passport to reflect this? Unless - we were faced with a particularly "moral" policeman at immigration?

Thanks for that Tessa.Obviously we will do all that eg joint ownership, bank accounts.but I especially have problems terminating last marriage.Priority is to get Sandra's goods through customs.I think we will be OK with Muhtah's letter,Maybe pray we do not get moralistic officials.
