Hi Bill

re msg 2

>>‘The Greek Cypriot Side has serious doubts. It is playing for time in order to prepare its people for a solution, but this brings some risks. This should not be forgotten’ Mr Nami added.<<

As Mr Chistofias backed the No to Annan ( stating his no meant yes ? ) you can imaagine WHY he needs time :(

>>He [Mr Nami] also stated that Turkish side has the necessary will to a solution, noting that a comprehensive settlement will be reached in the New Year if the same will is shown by the Greek Cypriot Side.

That's not what many folk on here say how the TCs feel ... should I get even more optimistic ? ;)

Hi mmmmmmmmm,

Would you care to speculate on the future for Cyprus in the event of a No/Yes or No/No outcome to to any referendum?

Will they ever even get as far as a referendum do you think?

Although there appears to be convergence on some issues it seems that they are miles apart on some of the fundementals i.e. Guarantor powers...or not, land and property!

So will the two leaders actually be able to come to an agreement that's acceptable to both sides to put to the people!!!!!!!!
