I live in Karsiyaka near the sea and we have always had a problem with people dumping rubbish. This morning we witnessed a huge tip-up lorry dumping stuff and we jumped in the car and followed it and got the licence plate (which is a bit strange because it has a T at the beginning which I thought was only for taxis). It is near some new villas and looks like they are clearing some land to build. It is not clear exactly who the builder is although the JCB that was loading up the lorry had the name of a construction company on the side. When we drove back to have a look at what they had dumped it was a mixture of rubble, tree roots and branches and an old banger!

My question is should I report this to the Muhtar or to the police?

Been to the Muhtar this evening and he is going to send someone down tomorrow. Hopefully they will speak to the construction company and get them to remove it.
