As Tony and Ruth are no longer at The Waterfront, the next 112 Quiz will take place on Monday 31st August at The Red Lion (on the right hand side of the road leading to Deniz Kizi Hotel). Starting at 7.30 p.m. 15 TL per person which includes a chicken shish, jacket potato and salad supper with prizes for the winning team. Teams of four, but if you have visitors or just need more brains there is a two point penalty for any person over the four in your team. The brainy ones with less than four in their team get a 2 point bonus for each person below the magic four. It's friendly and lots of fun and new faces will be very welcome. All proceeds go to help maintain the emergency services and remember - The equipment you help to buy today could save your life tomorrow!

What a shame that a genuine message about a cause which raises funds for the emergency services which (god forbid) we may all need at some time has deteriorated into the usual snipes.



Unfortunately wherever the quiz is held it will not be near enough for some people and we try to hold it in a venue that is friendly, good value for money and where the proprietors kindly give their unstinted support to the cause. Tony and Ruth have always supported us, opening on their night off to host the monthly quizzes and Alan at The Red Lion has kindly agreed to provide a venue and, with Tony's help, host the quizzes for us.

Hi Snakes - be really good to see you - all support gratefully received and if you come last you do win a lovely wooden spoon!

From Girne to Lapta just look on the left hand side and you will see a big sign for the Deniz Kizi Hotel, turn right into that road and The Red Lion is on the right.

As we always say, there are only two rules, our answers are the right ones and IT'S FOR FUN!!
