Greek Cypriot car insurance.....how does it work?

In the TRNC, (and Turkey alike), when you buy car insurance, you literally INSURE THE CAR, allowing ANYBODY with a driver's license to drive the vehicle.

The good side to this is that your age or number of points on your license does NOT change your premium.



In the UK however, when you buy insurance, it's insuring you and the car, but only the named driver can drive the vehicle, or anybody with comprehensive insurance on another vehicle.

The down side is that age and even GENDER can affec your premium.



Does anybody know how the Greek Cypriot insurance system works?

Is it the same/similar as the Turkish insurance system?



Are there any GC insurers who can insure UK vehicles for use in the UK? (with a green card)?

when we cross to the south the insurance for the car is for a named driver as hubby has to remember to put me on it sometimes. they don't charge any extra for ahving two drivers named on the docs.
