closing time of border insurance office

You didn't say whether you would be leaving the TRNC, and wanting to buy insurance for the ROC (South) -

Or - whether you were leaving the ROC and wanting to buy insurance for the North...

Apologies if you feel I'm being too 'picky' - but it might make all the difference when you actually arrive at the 'Green Line' in the middle of the night...

Not recently, sorry, I'm sure that I've seen them open, but I couldn't say what the opening times are...

You could give them a ring, this is the number of the Minerva Insurance kiosk at Metehan: - +35722770319

Remember that the office where you get your substitute road tax form isn't open on weekends though!

If you are heading south the insurance office is open until 21:00 7 days a week and the insurance is currently 25 euros for one month

Just to confirm all the info ref Metehan crossing North to south Insurance ,, open 7days a week, 0700hrs until 2100hrs at least one insurance booth is open.

You need an ROC MOT for a TRNC car going south and you cannot get that on Saturday or Sunday.

It is free but only available at Metehan.

Just to qualify this last posting. You only need the ROC equivalent road tax/MOT renewed once a year.

You need your TRNC docs. with you to get this & you will not be sold insurance unless your ROC. docs are valid & in date.

Also the Police office that does this on the south side closes around 2pm on Mon - Fri. unless things have changed.

Yesterday, checked time of opening, at least 1 booth open untill 9pm Mon to Sat. all others close at 6pm. Normal ins 25e but depending on engine capacity and also seating can be more. It cost me 35e for a seven seater.
