Do you think negativenick is being TOO negative?

Do you think negativenick should change to positivenick?



in my opinion i just want to give him a big hug it might cheer him up abit.

I wish you all the best for the future also, it is very difficult to make a living nowadays from servicing / repairing / upgrading consumer equipment.

You have to be very good at it to be able to complete a job to a good standard and have the cost of your time (let alone the parts!) amount to less than the value of the item that you are working on.

If I could offer the (tiny) amount of wisdom that I gathered over 40 - odd years...

1. DON'T antagonise any potential customers!

2. DON'T overstate your qualifications / capabilities!

3. DON'T argue in public!

4. UNDERSTATE your abilities, and OVER-DELIVER!

5. The customer is ALWAYS right (even when they're wrong...)

6. Keep smiling - you might look like a lunatic, but you'll never get anywhere by scowling at customers!
