The midweek edition of the North Cyprus Free Press is now available on http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com or http://www.3cyprus.com (less reliable.) This edition includes articles concerning the future of CTA, Pirate Island Tales Season 1 Episode 1, a personal experience of the recent earthquake and tips about what to do if you get caught in one, rumours concerning pet quarantine laws and an amnesty on illegally imported cars and (as they say) much, much more.

So it's not really a free press then. Just an egotistical rant. How are we to believe what is published? Are you asking questions about these issues of the people and groups involved, or is it just what you plagiarise from real newspapers or taken from idle gossip?

Legitimate board members should not believe every nick name appearing on this board is legitimate also. Especially not if the "new member" has a sudden interest in a special subject.

I really dont see what the problem is?? Some people choose not to read the Sun newspaper because they dont believe what is wrote, but may read the Daily Mail because they do? Its your choice what you read and what you believe to read................and its a "FREE" choice.

It's free in that YOU are free to submit articles and to be involved in debate on NCFP

Is my ego involved in it - Yes, it's my baby at the moment

Are the articles rants - one or two might fit the description of that 17th century social reform group

Have I time to conduct interviews - do me a favour

Do I plagerise - not within the strict interpretation of the law

Do I take your questions seriously - yes, at the moment

msg 3 says, "How is the quest to catch the " culprit " going please ? "

Aren't we all in some way culpable? From birth, some would argue. Is not the pen mightier than the dongle? Sorry been writing for too long.

You check what you read in any publication in the same way you check what you are told when you but property here. Didn't someone say that you shouldn't believe anything you read in a newspaper.

malsanak .

Brilliant publication thankyou . Looking forward to more well done .

Could you possibly report and find out why foreigners are penilised on having to pay more than locals for electricity connection and not be fobbed off with the excuse of running up bills and leaving the country without paying , we all know that we can pay in credit for electricity and if any one does try and leave the country with non payment they could be stopped at the airport , cause thats what they do if you have a speeding offence so this excuse if given does not hold up . Cheers .

Msg 8: Pipie you said, "Brilliant publication" - thank you, tell you friends and you also said "find out why foreigners are penalised on having to pay more than locals for electricity connection"

Msg 9: StGeorgeI you said, "Didn't they reduce the electric metre deposit back down a few months ago? just what i heard the other day?"

That's what I thought I heard too, plus an amnesty being declared for illegally imported cars etc.

The trouble is that these things are usually reported in Cyprus Today and often nowhere else. I think Kibtec have accepted that the deposit has grown disproportionately high for foreigners but as to whether they've actually done anything I can't find any proof for that yet.

Msg12: you say, "just hope it continues"

If it is as successful as Maggie's "On The Island" diaries, which has been running since February 2002, then it will continue. OTI has 200-300 visitors per day and so is worth continuing. Mind that site is also a legacy for the children and 8 grandchildren.
