Have you ever wondered where and how BBQ wood charcoal in TRNC is produced?

No? Don't read on.

Yes? Then you're in for a very interesting trip to the west of Northern Cyprus. You'll find there lonely men working with wood to provide our BBQ's with charcoal. It looks like their way of working hasn't changed for centuries!

there are lot of places do charcoal in old traditional way. such as altinova,buyukkonuk,karpaz,incirli, cayonu list goes on.

RE msg 2, Serkan: Thanks for the additional information. I only found the charcoal workers in one place and found it fascinating. Do they work the same way in Turkey or is this typical Cypriot (Turk), maybe from Ottoman times?
