hey everyone we just had a customer from extend changing to nethouse with us

but this customer gave us a very interesting info about Bortec apparently if you want to change over to bortec you have to pay £400 for installation which is a rip off!

what we want to know if this is true and has anyone else experience this problem? let us know

it can 2 reasons

1) yes its true

2) or bortec was just trying to rip someone off

hmmmmm?

keep us posted

RE msg 1, H&NComputer: Why don't you call Bortec yourself?! You're trying to damage a competitor in a primitive way. You render yourself a bad service. Won't do your business any good, I'm afraid. Maybe NegNick is right after all.

I have been with Bora at Bortec since we arrived, absolutley first class service and extremley helpful, and we where only charged £50 to £60 the twice we moved, and system had to be reinstalled, and tuned into new Ariel, I think if you new Bora you would not suggest he would rip someone off, We have found him to be extremley proffesinal, and a gentleman. H&N, I suggest you are creating yourself a nasty reputation.

H&N

I have used many internet services since being here. Starting with my own wifi built link to a net cafe and sharing their one way sat service, to a 2 way huges/directway sat service to adsl. I also have seen and experienced many other services by proxy including sunnycyprus, extend and the latest 3g offerings.

I currently use bortec and I have found the QoS to be as good or better than any other alternatives, in terms off up time, sustainted throughput and latency. I found them to be efficent and professional for the install. I am asked quite alot which ISP I recommend and Bortec is at the top of that list for me. Believe me I know about internet connectivty. (try googling erol ziya + internet or +telecoms).

I am commenting here only on my personal experience of using bortec as my ISP here. As to the wisdom of such a post as this I leave that to others.

We switched from Relytech over to Bortec for our School and Offices and their service is fantastic. We have had minimal down time and when rats chewed through our cables they came out and repaired immediately - NO CHARGE!

Keep up the good work Bora!

The cost of install varies with various factors.

However from memory the figure of 400 sterling sounds about right. Again I am not inexperienced in terms of wifi kit and the building of wifi based networks. The kit used by bortec is not mdified home use wifi kit but dedicated specialist equipment. This no doubt explians to a degree the install cost as well as the high service level achieved. by bortec.

Ok this is the wife speaking now:

Firstly I would like to say thank you for all your NASTY messages

I would like to mention the following:

a) Bortec is noway a competitor to us, we are based miles away

b) WE ARE NOT Nethouse, we are only an agent

c) WE only wrote asking a question to find out if it was true or not The fact came from a customer who walked in and had said he saw us on Cyprus44....so wherever he is, I wish he could come forward.

d) I really don't understand the issue people have with us on this forum as we haven't done anything wrong to upset neither of you.

e) I would like to put through, everyone has upset me deeply and you have made my life a misery ever since I have joined Cyprus44.

If you wanted to know how much bortec charge for install all you had to do was ring them up and ask them.

The first posts says explicilty that 400 pounds for install is a rip off. Then you suggest the two options, rip off or the real price for all is 400 pounds that you previously already said was a rip.

Basically you say its either 400 pounds for all - which is a rip off or its 400 pounds for some and not for others, which is a rip off.

These are not nice things to say or suggest about a competitor on a public forum.

If anything I have said or done has upset you then I am truely and genuinely sorry for that. I am simply telling it as I see ti thats all.

like i said i just want to see if bortec is doing this too.

Not coming out of this very well H & N I should give up now before you damage your business even more! Trying to score cheap shots against your compeitors smacks of desperation in my mind!.. I would certainly think twice before employing your services!

Time for an admin to stick his nose in!!

H & N I have just been going through all the threads on Cyprus44 and to be honest, I think you are starting to do yourself and your business more damage than good. It is fine to come onto the forum and advertise your services (within reason) but arguing and disagreeing with potential customers is not a good way forward and your posting do not look professional.

This is just my honest opinion for what is worth.

On with the fighting. ROUND 2

Mess 17 - Andy P - perhaps now is the time to give H & N the "heave ho"....

It was such a happy place before they arrived...

For the record, i have used Bortec for 2 years and the owner, Bora, is without doubt one of the most honest and decent people i have met since i arrived here....

By slagging Bortec off, H & N are making themselves look like silly children....

My "Neg Nick out of 10" awards are well respected here and for the record, i would give Bortec 10/10....

About time the thread was closed now...

H & N...listen to what JohnnyLee is saying in msg 16.

Anyone of us on here could come on with a story..." I was talking to a bloke in a Bar who took his laptop to H & N Computers to be fixed. They quoted him 60TL.When he went to pick it up they said they'd had to replace a part and it was now 150TL! Do you think he was ripped off ? "

It's bad business practice to use hearsay and tittle tattle to cast doubt on your competitors.

Stick to promoting yourselves , not denigrating others.

no towel thrown in...just giving you guys a little chance to maybe reread what was said and maybe then you could process it the way it was written...maybe some things are just said out loud rather than written.

There was no slagging off......if the guy comes back to sign up i will take down his name for your information

There are many posts asking about internet and pricing etc, the Bortec was info passed on from a customer which we then posted here, whether true or not we do not know that's why we ASKED the question.

RE msg 23, H&NComputers: ONE MORE TIME: WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL BORA AT BORTEC (or one of his staff) AND ASK H-I-M (HIM) WHAT YOU ARE SO EAGER TO KNOW (your message 1)?

You gave us two options in your first message: YES Bortec rips off and YES Bortec rips off. Can't you understand how wrong you are? And that you make it worse for you, your partner and your business? Please, drop the subject.

I went to see Bortec about a month ago regarding a possible installation. They did indeed ask for £400 for installation, despite the fact that both mast and cabling was already in place. I took my business elsewhere.
