Have read and taken on board quite a lot of useful information from this board, thanks to all. I hope to visit many of the eateries that have been suggested and some that havent.

I'll be in NC at the end of Aug09 for 10 days, staying in Girne. It will be my 4th time, the first a very long time ago. I have been lucky to travel all over the world though, I expect there will be some changes to NC, but I'm sure it will still be one of the my favourite and one of the most beautiful scenic areas in the world.

Again thanks to all contributers.

The first time was nearly 20 years ago, the last time some 5 years. Such a big world so much to see, I'm doing my best to see it. But North Cyprus ..... well very special to me.

Well you will obviously have seem some changes over the last 20 odd years ago. That was around the first time we visited also. We fell in love with the place straight away and have been coming on and off ever since. You won't be shocked at the changes, hopefully, since you more recently came only 5 years ago.

As I said, I hope you have a wonderful time.

Cymro. Enjoy your stay. We have booked for four weeks over Christmas & New Year, this will be the fifth year and everyone gets better. My husband is diabetic and we usually bought light milk and diabetic jam and kept them in the fridge but last year at breakfast there was the light milk the diabetic jam and low fat cheeses. We have half board but some nights we go out with friends so instead of the evening meal if we ask they will let us have a light lunch of soup and a sandwich.
