I live in the North and am considering giving birth in the south, as I have heard the medical care is quite good there. Does anyone have s doctor referral there and idea of costs without insurance? (I am very familiar with the process of giving birth in the north, as some of my friends have, and am not interested for a few reasons.) Any advice regading the south appreciated!

Hi Boston there are to many good clinics to mention, but the ST Raphael clinc close to orphanides supermarket in larnaca is excellent. The Doctors name is Dr Kassinis. I would give them a ring to find out the cost as it is many years ago that i gave birth and would not like to misquote the price. the number is 24840840.

i only hear good things regarding maternity care in the south. i have been told nicosia hospital was very good, by a gc friend who's grandchildren were all born there. i had both my kids in the uk, the care with the first one was great, i couldn't say that for the second one though. it varies from hospital to hospital. my advice would be to check out all places recomended then make your choice. good luck.
