| How can you, Jeannie, tune into the Beatles (omg!) when at the same time of our early years there were "The Rolling Stones"? Still hear myself playing this 45 record 200 times (which was the end of the bl**dy record) "This will be the last time..."! And all the rest... The Beatles... For softies. Don't do this to me, Jeannie!! |

| RE msg 5, natalie: (...) You keep playing the Stones at your age could just be 'the last time' (...) => You are as close to the "last time" as I am, "natalie". You're only problem is that women age terribly and men just get a bit older. |

| Hans - you old rogue! "Women age terribly and men just get older". You cheeky git! In my young(er) days, there was a bit of a 'divided camp' - you either liked The Beatles OR The Stones. I have to say, I have always tended to gravitate towards The Beatles camp. Sorry to disappoint you my Dutch friend, but that is where my loyalties lie, to this day With kind regard and happy listening. Jean |

| Saw the Beatles at a one-nighter on their tour in 1963. We had waited for 36 hours for tickets. Mental or what! |

I have to say, I have always tended to gravitate towards The Beatles camp. (...) => True. Same in Holland. But I'm so pleased to tell you that I grew over it; the temptation of this 4-group, starting in a low level Hamburg-pub (I had a beer there once, but luckily before "they" "played" there...), was so short lived. Stones-Beatles: 5-0. (Most board member will understand this football expression - at your service!). Jeannie, It will take some time before you and I are on speaking terms again (virtually, I mean, of course). Enjoy your Beatles, I'll play my favourite Johnny Cash, Wailon Jennings, Chris Christofferson, Willy Nelson and all these great C&W artists, living on forever. Errrrm, who are the Beatwhats..? |

I try to imagine you with thinning, greying (even white?!) hair and I now decide to go to bed. I'll take 6 (wouldn't 8 be better?) Aspirins and hope to sleep into forgetfulness. Please, don't make me remind me of you... |

| Attention ageing music lovers (that's either ageing people who love music, or people who love ageing music, or ageing people who love ageing music - or all three, I don't care.) Anyway, now that I've got your attention - STOP YAWNING, DC! - nip down to your nearest rip-off DVD shop and get 'The BOAT that ROCKED' - an improbable, yet strangely compelling account of the infancy of Pirate Radio (and NO, I didn't copy that of the sleeve, thank you very much!) I'm SO sure that anyone who remembers that era will agree with me, that if you don't like it, I'll buy it back off you! Well, for half price anyway - I mean, it'll be USED won't it And natalie, Dc's shiny bonce DOES have its uses - in the sunshine , you can spot him MILES away! |

| Message 18 - Keith We actually went to the cinema to see this film (trying to recapture my misspent youth, probably) and really enjoyed it, although it was apparently wildly innacurate (according to the old pirate radio DJ's who are still with us). The soundtrack is brilliant if you enjoy a good old sing-along. DC - as my old Dad used to say "grass doesn't grow on a busy track" Also, must admit to being a bit of a C & W closet fan. Jean |
