Any computer buffs out there?

I use a laptop and when I am typing the letters keep jumping about and end up just a jumble of

gobbledygook. When my husband types with his 2 fingers very slowly this doesn't happen. Any one know what the problem is and what I can do? I have tried typing very slowly and this works but it is not the answer, I need to be able to type at normal speed.

Your touching the touch pad!

A simple way to solve this is to invest in a small wireless keyboard. Don't like that option?

Type slower, and avoid the touch pad area!

Hi Burty 1987,

Thank you for your reply, this makes sense but I will now have to fathom out how I am going to adopt a new typing position to avoid doing this.

Use a USB mouse and tape a piece of card over the touch pad or if the settings allow, turn off the touch pad.

Hi all,

Thanks to the members who posted sensible replies. I have done what AndyP suggested and I think this is working. I don't know how to turn off the touch pad, but I have folloowed the other advice. So thanks Andy your a star.
