Try Com Aks next to Mr Pound in Kyrenia. Or there's the fellow who advertises in Cyprus Today re computer problems.

Computer processors are solid state - no moving parts. How is it noisy? Probably just the fan and the insides are full of dust and flies and cobwebs and crap like that. Take the cover off and have a look but do not brush it out or attempt to use the hoover on it - that is the way to disaster. If it is really dirty in there (and it will be) then take it to a computer guy/gal to have it cleaned. If you only have "X" space left then clean out your files yourself, loads of info if you "Google" it and it is not rocket science!

It's a noisy fan that is on all the time, that's the problem. I guess it means a trip to Super Computers in Lefkosa. They supplied and fitted it. HH

HH, Probably best, if the fan is on all the time and it never used to be, it may be a problem with the temp sensor as well so go see the man who fitted it. Noisy fans turn into hot processors that turn into lots of money heading out of the wallet - when you get it back in its nice and clean state then every now and then, give it a blow through to keep the dust out. It won't hurt it and can only help. Mick

Hi Happy Hussar Noisy computers can be caused by a number of different things, not just your processor fan (processor fan, system fan, or graphics card fan if any). Any of these fans can be cleaned but are also cheap to replace. If it is the processor fan I would recommend changing this for an after-market option, which will run quieter and more efficiently than the standard fan anyway. I am of course happy to come and inspect and clean or replace as necessary, feel free to give me a call. Dan (Computer Clinic) 0533 885 7467 http://www.pc-clinic-cyprus.com

fans can also be controlled with software so you can up or down the rpm which will up or down the heat within the pc or laptop but you can run them so they are quieter
