Forum Notification Emails

I was on a UK forum looking for some advice and I thought they had an really good set up in so far as once you had written your 'new topic' details you then had the opportunity at the end to tick a box which asked if you wanted to be notified by email if there were any replies.



It certainly saved alot of time trawling through many threads looking for what you posted and more importantly you didn't have to go onto the forum regularly to see if you had a reply until you received an email.



Is it worth looking at something like this for 44?



Would it work on 44?

I think there is probably a few people who post a new topic with a specific question and don't very often get on here would find it interesting, I know I did on this other forum.

emails addressed to forumadmins(at)cyprus44.com go to all the admins including Izzet.

Emails addressed to izzet(at)cyprus44.com just go straight to Izzet.

Or, if you go to - http://cyprus44.com/about/contact.asp you will find a page that allows you to send comments direct.

Obviously change the (at) to @ in the email addresses - this is to stop software sending spam to the admins etc.

=> scoobydoo, such a possibility is already available. There is a (free) web site sending you an email at once or once per day when anything changes on a web site(s) you define. Read - in short lines - the changes on cyprus44 and only click on what you want to read.



If this is what you want I'll look the site up and mail you the URL.

I am on here often enough to see what I need to but I just thought it seemed a good idea and a good option as I do not even have to go onto this other site to see if anyone has responded to my question that I put on.



Maybe the most the members on this forum are on so often that they do not need this facility.
