Come on you Saints, there would have been another couple of Saints supporters in there had the game been next week instead of having to travel to Leeds.

Blinks great season mate and well done to Andy Ellis and the lads.Unfortunateley the ruby League would sooner flog a dead horse with Wales and London then promote the game in the heart lands of Rugby league. When will they realise that wales and London are both union hot beds and look after what we already have.

Speckie i am in Hull and went to the game last night.Couldnt fault "Wire" for their commitment but i do feel that last weeks Wembley exploits took alot out of the tank.Watch out for is in the play offs,

Paul.

Did yer see the dirty Saints twxt cripple Kevin Sinfield, one of Leagues gentlemen?, if that's not a paradox. I suppose the thinking is, "we've lost the leadership trophy, let's cripple the best captain in the game and maybe steal the play-off trophy that Leeds have made their own lately" Won't happen, Wink and his not so merry men won't get to the grand final.

correction: that should be "unable to wink"

He can't complain, any other game in the world, he'd have been sine die for the stunt he pulled when St Helens reserves (sic) played The Bulls, and "insider" knowledge earned him a grubby grand or two.

Will have to go for a Leeds v Hull K.R. final.

Minertor,

You really do have a biased view.Tackles like the one on Sinfield happen week in and week out.I am not condoning them at all just raising a point,

Paul.

Hi Paul, I know, I played at youth club level many years ago when the "stiff arm" was hardly frowned upon. Didn't actually see the tackle, didn't even see the match. I was at a function in the Swaledale National park. My Hotelier friend would not have understood, had I declined his invite. A German national from Barnsley, neither a hotbed of the sport. I was merely attempting to stimulate a conversation. Nor am I likely to be seen in Back in Time, unless Mike has a change of heart. Last time in I said something that offended him, don't know what as I rarely listen to myself. Maybe he has a thin skin, in fact, most of the people I meet seem to have thin skins.

I'd love to see a Rhinos v Giants final. Top attack against best defence. Giants going forward aren't bad either.

Pity Sean Long couldn't have his swan song on the big stage. Might be a bent sod but as a Leeds fan I'll be glad to see the back of him. Put him up there alongside Jonathan Davis and Alan Hardisty as an all time Brit. great.

Minertor,

Enjoyed reading your posts mate, dont think Longy is in the same league as Hardisty or Davis though.

Speckie,

Its an absolute disgrace that the puishment dished out on the Leeds players did not fit the crime.

Watch out for the team of the season, the mighty Hull KR,

Paul.

newlad. The RFL have no bottle, 1 match ban they play Salford so no problem, if they had been given more then they wouldn't have been in the play offs, it stinks. If it had been Saints they wouod have been given more no doubt about that.

Woodspeckie, Wouldn't say "Salford, no problem" the done us at Headingley'

Newlad, I judge a player on the way the team perform with/without him. Saints are a good side without Long, a great side with him. There isn't much, if anything, he doesn't do well. Can't think of anyone lately that's his match.

Tony,

Fair point mate, but i dont think he is a world class scrum half like an Alex Murphy or Roger Millward.Long never "pulled up any trees"when Long played for Great Britain,he was made to look very ordinary indeed and his kicking game was embarrassing at times.Lets see how he gets on with "the enemy" next season as he is getting on a bit now,

Paul.

Hi Paul & everybody

I'd still rather have long in my side rather than play him.

As long as he had that bloody hair cut!

Is he going to hull next year Paul?

Congrats on a cracking season Paul unlike my shower of sh##

Now then James you big stag, hows tricks.Yes Shaun is going to the second best proffessional rugby league team in the fair city of Hull to join all the other second raters. Thanks for your compliments on the best team in the city.I did say at the start of the season that we would finish fourth.Never thought that we would have a chance of winning the thing though like i do now.

Should be a certain two points for your lot tomorrow night against the also rans from the K.F.C. stadium,

Paul.

Leeds duly claimed the Shield with a 30 - 24 win at Salford. Lee Smith kicked 5 goals, are we gonna miss him next season?

Saints look like they gave in to Catalan Dragons, or mebbe it was a golden handshake for Longy, and they sent the A team out, again.
