I like this chap,

About three years ago, we were wandering about on the harbour, and I stopped for a chat - he mentioned that he was taking his boat out later with a few friends on board to view the demonstration by the 'Turkish Arrows' - it happened to be 'Peace and Freedom Day' - and he asked if we would care to join them - FOR FREE!

Well, we leapt at the chance, and a crowd of us piled on board at the appointed time.

We were greeted like old friends, and treated like family - he dispensed free beer and cushions, we had a wonderful time, and a great view of the proceedings.

Naturally, in the Great British Tradition, we had a 'whip round for the Driver' and pressed upon him some 'petrol money', but that does not detract from his generosity of spirit...

We keep meaning to go back and book a 'proper' trip - perhaps when we've got Visitors, later this month, eh?

Hello Keith.....yes please do pop to the harbour for a chat. Would be glad of your support....supposed to be many tourists, but they are not coming to the harbour in abundance! My boat is more a family boat not an Agent Tourists boat so I try and make my guests more welcome that the Cattle Boats. We have a quiz now and fun water games for the kids.

My sister-in-law, and myself have been out on this boat, it was a really good day. We were all fixed to go last time but the other passengers never turned up, so there was only four of us, and it was cancelled. He will remember us, Margaret was teasing the young lad that was working.

The best boat. Florence 1.

We have used this boat 3 times now when friends have come over. It is a smaller boat, so you don't get the hoards of people on it that you do with the bigger boats. The food is excellent, all freshly cooked by Captain Bayram. The fish and chicken were beautiful. All in all, for a pleasant day out, difficult to beat.

Taking the boat out the water in the winter and going to make seating area bigger, knock out 2 rooms and put the kitchen downstairs and put new toilets.

Bayram,

I have to say that you do the best boat tours and you are unbeatable in value.

Your food is well cooked and there, unlike others, is lots to go round and you are the only one who offers melon on the way back.

Keep it up and you deserve a lot of business.

Our experiences with family and visitors over some six years is totally compatible with all the comments made above with regard to Captain Bayram's generosity, superb food, and dedication to providing value for money enjoyment. We regard it as the best value day out to be had in TRNC even for those who need gentle treatment to cope with being on calm waters. As the head of the family, so to speak, it is reassuring to note that he is clearly respected by other Captains for his Seamanship. We one time encountered an unpredictable change of weather on nearing the Harbour and it was Captain Bayram who took command of all the boats gathering to get into the harbour and calmly guided them all safely in without collision or incident.

Do you want a private tour, it means you can choose the hours you wish to be out, but generally (as mentioned in my posting message no 1 it is 10.30 to 5pm). Let me know which one you require and then I can email you the prices. Kids 6 and 9 will be half price). We are becoming fully booked for August so its best you call the above number and make a reservation soon.

Id like to refer to a Posting on 8th August by Tony27 - “A boat trip from hell be warned”. We dont know this person but assume from his comments that he works for another boat, although he has only just arrived from the UK. However this horrendous posting has got us lots of good feedback from our customers. We are not perfect but do our best to make everyone happy. It reminds of the publicity Cratos Hotel achieved through the bad publicity from the Greeks over Jennifer Lopez, so in a way thanks Tony27.

My wife and I were invited to a birthday party held on board the Blue Bird last night .

We went out to watch the sun set over the horizan and then to a bay where we had a great Mezze. The fish was lovely as was the whole meal.

And what a great idea to hold a birthday party afloat.

To Captain Bayram and staff a big thank you.

To Harry, who was celebrating his 70th, thank you very very much from Gill and I.

Looking forward to seeing you next year. Have you any fishing tackle on board? Would we be able to fish with our own tackle?

Went on a very expensive fishing trip with 3 friends, £200 and caught absolutely nothing. Is there anything left in the sea around here, we were assured we would catch tuna etc, the captain was so embarrassed that he gave us a huge tuna out of his freezer!

Love TRNC, the people here are mostly fair and generous, it was not his fault that the fish did not bite after all!!
