Up in Malatya we haven't been getting much water - not enough to stay in front of consumption. Yesterday we had a bill from Alsancak Belediye for 3.50TL for the month just gone. This equated to about 6 tonnes on the meter, so it seems that as the consumption was so low we have not been charged for the minimum (10 tonnes?) and our standing charge has been reduced in proportion.

As far as I know, Alsancak do not have a minimum amount of water that they charge you for - isn't that was Lapta's policy?

There seems to be some itemization on the bill and I assume it is standing charge, consumption and kdv...

We do get a bit of farting and spluttering (and thats just the wife) when the water comes on, but not that much. 6 tonnes for a month isn't bad - I have heard that folks with this air problem can be charged lots more than that.

Make friends with your local belly people,we have and get water when we phone them. They are only human and enjoy flattery,which we give them all the time....
