Some supporting emails made me change my mind after some discouraging posts in another thread - let's go on building up the "Alsancak Chess Club". More here: http://www.cyprus44.com/events/530.asp



Next meeting I'll check if players are interested in a local competition (results, standings etc). And if it will be possible to form a team to play other teams from chess clubs in Girne, Famagusta and wherever I can find other clubs in TRNC.

Hans, although I gave up playing chess after I taught my son, then aged 10, how to play chess & six months later he beat me. I will drop in at Guidos on the 22nd September to say hello.
