Although there will be someone that will say otherwise, buying a second hand dish is not always the best option. Unless it has been disassembled correctly and more importantly reassembled correctly then it can become distorted and will never give 100% efficiency.

my suggestion is to dig deep and go for new to start with, i do have friends that have gone down the second hand route and managed to get an acceptable performance and i have others that have really bad reception caused by distortion to the parabolic dish.

Not sure if the last message was for me, but regarding the price I am not looking at what I paid for it I will take into consideration that it is now second hand if only 5 months old and also the fact that you will have to take it down it is sectional and has easy access, and then you have the costs to transport it, so what do you think would be a fair price for you to pay, so we then will both know how we stand.

I can vouch that exroyals dish will be a good 2nd hand buy - it was supplied and installed by THE man for 4.2m on the island and he is the guy directing importing them who puts 'em up and can move 'em...

a ( well - installed ) Jonsa 4.2m dish is required to get the maj of Free to air UK content



Only Nilesat is worth installing for Eng lang content of the small dishes for free to air..



There are several companies offering pirated services on small 1- 1.8m dishes, but history shows the shelf life is "limited"..

It cost £2200, I am looking for £1000ono. The dish will need to be taken down, but we have someone that can do this (a professional) - obviously he will charge, but he can also erect it again, but the price will be minimal.
