Hi All.Having looked at the forum for a few months I decided I would join.My wife and I have lived in Antalya for five years and holiday frequently in Girne.I have noticed on some recent post's quetions about Turkey, so if I can help I will.We bought our house seven years ago and just spend most of our time doing not a lot or planning to go on holiday. We took early retirement at 55 and have no regrets. No going back ! If I can help on the forum then I will and look forward to being able to contribute.

Ian - welcome. I think you may have quite a lot of interested parties who may 'pick your brains' about living/moving to - Turkey - me included

Dear Mr cyprusjoker - I find your posts very funny indeed. But why are you so worried about your photo? Are you possibly looking for romance?

I'll tell you what, if you are,you know what they say about the ladies - "If you can make them laugh, you're halfway there"

PS I'm an old biddy of nearly 60, so, obviously, not looking for myself!

I don't know about that! In my case, the rustier the iron means it's about to give up completely and probably fall off

PS I was young, once, and not bad looking

iHi Ian,welcome.Nearly my first anniversary of living in TRNC,but a holiday home for 7 years.Love it,and love Turkey too.Still love Istanbul so much!and go as often as I can.

Have been to Side, liked a lot,and your Antalya..nice too.as well as Kas,Kalkan, and up the West Coast a few times on Bosborun peninsula.Favourite....Turunc.

Have promised my new fiancee to show her a little bit of Turkey,we've been to Istanbul. But in about Spring next year, would love to show her,in some sort of priority:CappadociaEfes, again for me,please. Is there any small private co.based in Antalya you could recommend.

Thanks Mike.

Any advice for TRNC please ask
