Frozen Accounts in trnc

Are the accounts at HSBC still frozen as per statement in the Cyprus Today newspaper today from the BRS, due to not contacting them regarding phone numbers and home addresses etc. Has anyone on the forum had their accounts frozen? Not sure if this is just HSBC or not.

Really new to TRNC. I opened an account on holiday 2 years ago. I then had to confirm my Log on details for Internet Banking by June this year or it would be frozen. Notified them of details - no problems. Whether it is relative to your needs I have no idea. email Julie at TRNC, she is 1st Class. Hope this helps.

It says that All turkish owned banks had been told to get names and addresses of all customers by close of business on tuesday to combat internet fraud. Accounts were frozen if no details had been given. The British Residency Society have written a letter of complaint, it says ?
