Andy, i'd be worried the balcony can stand the weight of the hot tub...

Best bring it round my place, i'll look after it for you.....

Try Gagory in Karsiyaka on the main road just past the coffee shops he has lots of heavy gear there? He speaks English.

Re MSG 2..... Only 12 feet up.

Re MSG 3..... It should be OK as long you do not bring Mrs Monger to sit in it!!

Re MSG 4..... Thank You

Anyone know somewhere closer to Arapkoy/Catalkoy? Just thinking if cost per hour etc coming from Karsiyaka would cost a fortune.

Not knowing what it is, will it not fit in the front bucket of a JCB? Only being 12ft high.

It is a Hot Tub. Problem is it needs to go over the railings on the balcony. Unfortunately, the railings cannot come off (don't ask!!).

Youd be lucky to crane it in unless above your balcony is completely open? The best way imo would be the jcb with extending forks, make a platform or a staging up on the balcony a little bit higher than your handrail, slide it in on that then get some mates to manhandle it from there by taking the weight and removing the staging, just a thought.Difficult without seeing it.good luck! round yours with a bottle of bubbly then!! lol

I was also thinking a Teleporter but ive not seen any around? If you could do it with a JCB it will save you a fortune.

Have you checked the loading on the balcony as the amount of weight including water will be substantial. (Plus vibrations and users.)

OK.

Yes the balcony/flat roof will take the weight. I know the only way this is going up on to it is with a crane. I have looked at all the options. A JCB could do it if I rope the Hot Tub in a sling but the JCB that has been working next door cannot lift it high enough, so a bigger JCB would do it.

So we know how to get it up there but where do I get one from??

So please only post if you know where I can hire a crane/big JCB.

Andy,

I think you'll stand a better shance with one of those fork lifts that they use on building sites, also I think safer.

As for where to get one, dont know where you live,so cant comment.

The correct way to lift a hot tub is with a sling and a crane, Andy Ive got a guy in Lapta, but may cost more ifor distance, Find somone local who sells bread ovens, or similar, they should have a small truck with a hoist, or local builders, If you are stuck I will ask the guy in Lapta, (you saw where he got our bread oven sited)
