Been here for just over two weeks, another couple of months to go before returning to the depression.

Can anyone give me a good reason for wanting to go home.

mess 1 - the main reason for the mysery here relates to diminishing incomes from savings and property ownership....

Great to here you love it in TRNC , we love TRNC ALSO , but love to get back to Shropshire hills , activity great days out , welsh country side , London , clothes shopping . Christmas , Hoar cross hall , National trust , fantastic spring flowers , gardens , theatre , pleasure rail journeys , no rubbish , seasons , I could go on . Love TRNC 3 months of the year but love to get back home.

we're back in England for Christmas to see the family and things, but back for most of next year starting mid January. I can honestly say that I don't miss anything about the UK. The Scottish highlands are lovely, Yorkshire dales are beautiful, the Devonshire coast is gorgeous, but my gas bill in Doncaster is ridiculous, and I'm sat indoors for most of the year.

There is more of a community here than back 'home'. I don't see my next door neighbour from one week to another, and feel like a foreigner in my home town.

I remember the sad days as a nipper when coming back from Irleland at the end of the summer holidays..... balling me eyes out leaving and me dear old gran telling me....."Now, now....stop the crying....if you don't go home you will not be able to come back again next year" !!......alway's made me stop crying, as somehow it got in to my mind she was right and I had somenting to look forward too.....she was such a lovely gran.
