No discussions. Just want a confirmation from a few Extend users.

Hi can someone let me know how to use this proxy server, maybe if someone put it on forum, the people having problems ie: myself included would be able to get in.

Thanks

I tried 8 times yesterday to post you a reply, I can sometimes get on here maybe once if lucky twice a day, but posting a reply most of the time I just give up, hope this one goes through

I am sorry to bring this up again, but is there any update on this?

Only a few replies will do the job.

Izzet

P.S. FastHosts spent hours testing this and also with BT Broadband. This is clearly an Extend issue. If people are interested to know the details, I'll be happy to forward my email communication with FastHosts. Just email me directly.

Thanks Richard, but I was asking about Extend.

3G should have no problems accessing Cyprus44.

The slowness is due to your 3G reception.

Cyprus44 is hosted on a fast server.

As you can see on any page at very bottom, it takes less than 1 second for the server to process the page.

Regarding the connection, the server is hooked on several T1 lines, and bandwidth allowance is well over our current usage level and the transfer speeds are less than 300 milliseconds.

Just wanted to clarify a few things, so no question marks are left.

Hi Izzet,

For the last couple of days, I thought that the problem had been sorted, could get straight on to '44.

However, last night and today, I'm back to the poxy proxy

Keith.

Hello From eXtend!

The routing problems via Turkey which made the Cyprus44 website sometimes inaccessible have been solved since yesterday. All eXtend customers should now be able to access all web-pages without any proxy server

Kind Regards

eXtend. Message 33.

Thank you for fixing this problem.

However, if I remember correctly, for a long period of time, you were implying that it was NOT your fault, but the fault of Cyprus44.

Are you now admitting it WAS your fault, or at least, it was not the fault of Cyprus44?

And, what do you have to say to me and many others who contacted you, who were "fobbed off" with claims that it was NOT your fault.

Regards

PC

I think we should just accept that the problem appears now to be sorted and if you are expecting an answer to your message 40 you may be waiting a long time. I think we are lucky enough to get one message on this board from Extend so trying to push for another I think will be futile.

Having bumped into the director of Extend today, I have been informed that they were actually working on solving the problems for months now.

Ozcan, who was in charge of solving the problem and who posted the msg above, also explained me the situation and the reason this was happening, over a telephone conversation in the morning.

This was not 100% Extend's fault. There was a routing problem that was tracked back to their provider in Turkey.

To sum up, Extend managed to fix the problem and everything is sorted now.
