Has anyone seen this before as I believe it has been in the TRNC?

Was it a good show?

Yes! And yes! I mean, I have seen it and it was good.

If you get a chance to see it, then take it.

Thanks MarieB,

We saw it advertised in the CT a the weekend, apparently it is on on the 22.09.09, so I think we may book some tickets now before they sell out.

I do not normally watch "dancing" but was persuaded to buy tickets for performance last year and so glad we went. My review is on the forum somewhere.

The performance is about a young and innocent girl who gets drawn into drugs and its consequences.

We were both affected by the story, even though it is in dance form at one point I had misty eyes.

For anyone not sure - please go and see for yourself. It is not a long performance but you will enjoy it.

Well, after such good responses above I thought i would ring the number in the Cyprus Today and reserve 4 tickets. Not unreasonable idea, or so I thought but ......... the number in the paper is wrong and no one could help me!

The Ampitheatre itself is empty and no ticket box office that I could see.

So, if anyone has any idea's where these tickets are being sold, I would appreciate you letting me know

Hi scoobydoo,

I would also like two tickets for this show. I have been told to go to the tourist office at the end of the harbour for tickets.

Thanks for the replies, I will try and ring the mobile number on the website first as the land line is for the Girne Belediye, if I have no success I will go to the harbour.

I did think about just turning up on the night but wanted to get some tickets to make sure I got in just in case it was a sell out.

I went to see the Dance of Anatolia in Antalya in June and am guessing it will be pretty similar to that, if that is the case it will be a fantastic show if not it still sounds like you enjoyed it and well worth a visit. We are going as:

a) it is great to see a performance at the Girne ampitheatre

b) Kezpot pointed out - these things need support in order to encourage others to come to the TRNC

Okay got my tickets today. I rang the mobile number listed which is for Salamis, Famagusta and got a really helpful chap.

The tickets are being sold in Deniz Plaza, the big one on the main road in Girne near Garanti bank. 20 TL each.

We advertised the 22nd September show in the North Cyprus Free Press and now, 21st September, rumours are spreading that the performance is cancelled. This rumour has already caused at least 6 people to change their minds about going. Anyone know if the rumour is true as we've already bought our tickets?

Regarding the amfitheatre Its a massive open air stage.

We had a Great Meal @ Ezic Peanuts beautiful surroundings right on the sea with extra Fork lightening show for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

We then watched the SALSAJAM concert /dance from the side looking straight down to the stage from side of wall excellent saved us 25 EUROS each the place was not very full

Nice night out finished at Midnight with the Spanish World Champions Salsa Finale
