Very cute Cyprus Terrier Found

An absolutely adorable Cyprus Terrier has turned up in my friends house. She already has 4 dogs and concerned that this dog has parted from its owners. Very friendly and obedient. Is a dog and dont think has been neutered. She cant keep as 2 of her dogs are not spade and they are all bitches. He has a chainlink collar on and very tight curly coat (looks as though he has been recently clipped). He has white curly coat and 2 golden marks, one by his right eye and the other on his leg. He seems quite healthy. I will take him home as he cannot remain at her house until someone comes forward.

Have named him Ted for now as he looks just like a teddybear! He is now with me - Pertev checked him over. He was clipped about 6 weeks ago, is about 18months-2years old, not neutered but has been looked after, etc. - very frightened crouches down when you feed him and went very shaky and scared at the sight of Pertev! Who wouldnt!!!!



He is not house trained so a big job on my hands for now - (already messed on my rug twice Uhhhh) but a lovely nature and doesnt really bark much (well for now!).

Well had him now for one week and doing well. If he was genuinely lost and not dumped/left behind I am sure someone would have notified me by now! Was recently clipped about 6 weeks ago. Have posters up and notified vets. Oh and wot a cutie he is. Obedient, quiet, house proud, walks on lead, sits, lays, etc and follows commands in english. An excellent guard dog too - think he has been ill treated in the past as very protective against strangers, especially men!!!!



If anyone knows more please let me know.

Well still have him and he is such a beaut! IAnother sad story as by now I would have heard if he was genuinely lost and the owners would have come forward. The only problem I have with keeping him is that I live in an apartment and do not know if I will stay put or even have the money to take him with me if I leave North Cyprus. Do not wish this vicious circle to continue.....



He barks very minimum and only when you would expect him to. Loves walkies with and without lead. Does not go off and is very obedient. Gets on with other dogs. Such a good boy and I finally called him Merlin (like the magician as he just appeared from nowhere) I would rather see him with a loving family who can commit to keep him forever.



If anyone is interested in taking him on please let me know. I will be sad for him to leave me as we get on so well. As I understand it KAR have enough to cope with so come guys on any interest??????

Its amazing that there is now a new member and post on this forum trying to rehome their dog before the end of this month as going into rented accommodation. More chance of rehoming in the UK? Havent they left it too late - I hope this dog does not end up homeless like Merlin did!

Spoke to Kar today and a man called Osman Avci 0533 867 7046 reported a 2 year old Cyprus Terrier missing in September called Ody area as Dormanlik. Does anyone know this man or this area here I tried calling him but speaks no English. Is this a place in Lapta????

Of course I will be asking someone to speak to this guy - wanted to check him out first and see if anyone knew of him as Merlin was very jumpy and nervous at first but now hes turning into such a brave loveable pooch...

Didnt realise Merlin was so famous here - was out walking him this morning and a couple passing by were laughing as he decided to lay in a huge dirty puddle. When I called his name they said is he the one on the message board! Small world...
