Anyone who has had the misfortune to buy from this man - can you tell me if you have received your title deeds?

He is our advocat too and its a case of push, push and push again. We seem to do the work he is paid to do and I for one, will be glad when we do eventually (if we do) get PTB and our Deeds.

carrieRbag, what i would suggest is that you get your ptp number from him and call them yourself, chances are it is already cleared, i picked up the number for our ptp from seyhan and called myself to be told i had the ptp.

On another occasion i waited in his office everyday for 1 week guess what ....he never appeared and that was after making an appointment everyday.

No excuses given...

He is my lawyer too, or rather Terry Hamilton was who at that time was in partnership with him.

Since Terry left I have had great trouble contacting Seyhan and despite promises he never replies

to phone messages, emails and when I visit the office he is always away. I was advised (actually

by Kensington Turtle Bay Development staff) to contact Terry and they gave me his phone no.

He was very helpful and phoned TRNC in London (I had got the application no. from office) and my

PTP had been granted in March, slightly less than the 2 years suggested. I now have reference no.

for this, but no word still from Yildirim. Terry did offer to help when (???) the title deeds are forthcoming

which was promised by Kensington to be soon! I advise you to phone TRNC office with your appl. no.

To be fair to them Gurhan who works for Seyhan has been helpful and rings the PTB office every time I go in and ours is not ready yet. He said they "sign off" on PTB's about every 14/15 days so you have 2 chances each month to be in the batch... watch this space!!!

Permissions are granted on a weekly basis. As someone else suggested, ask for your application number.

You should also ask Gurhan if there is any mortgage on the property (this would be declared when your property was registered), if the title deeds have been amalgamated, if they are ready for transfer etc.......

Is your property finished, do you have permanent electric?

Tommy he also does not keep appointments, I made two with him at times suitable to him and he never showed up and did not have the decency to answer the calls from his own office, I have lost all faith in this man as a solicitor. When I asked for my original contract back he argued and to this day I have not received my PTP application papers from him, I would warn anyone to keep well away from this man.

Remember these people are not 'solicitors' as you would know them in the UK. They are 'advocates' who are not regulated, have no indemnity insurance and don't have the professionalism or confidence to believe they owe their clients any duty of care hence their attitude. They charge what they like and unfortunately they know their is no practical legal redress against them.
