My best time was when Cod Baba opened. it gave The Ravine a run for its money on that great British delicacy of Fish and Chips.

First time is always the best but thats only what they say..

The sight of the place, what you hear, the tastes and the pure pleasure you feel.

Paradise, i suppose.

late one afternoon the car got stuck in sand on a coastal path short of bafra

that's before it was all built up...

suddenly parched with thirst we thought we'd be there for the night

but eventually managed to find a couple of guys at a factory over the dunes

and with half a dozen of their mates straining heaved us up out of the sand!

very relieved but still shocked eventually drove away as quickly as possible

but passing through a nearby villiage a lady said "hello" from her house:

ashamed to admit I blurted out "is there a problem?" basil fawlty-style

we carried on to the hill villiage of buyukkonuk where purely by chance

we were directed to delcraft where lois and ishmail cemal

made us very welcome at their charming eco-tourism center and b&b

what a wonderfully unexpected place is north cyprus!

i love waking up every morning to the birds singing and the mountian views.

in the evening i love the twinkleing lights of lefkosa,( i'm a city girl at heart.)

i love the whole new family i have aquired since living here. even though they drive me crazy at times.

the best time we had, and we have had loads, but the best was probably new years eve a few years ago.

we were at our neightbours restaurant cinar, the whole village were there. live music from the lovely erol and band with singing dancing and even a belly dancer. a great tc evening and at midnight as tradition goes, out came the shot guns ringing out to welcome in the new year across the village.
