Can anyone advise please. "You may find this unusual here in the TRNC, but last year we where overcharged on our rd tax" so I need to know how to get the car weighed, officially with a certificate acceptable to the motor taxation office. The weight in the owners manual is tottaly different to the 2000kg, written on our log book, I have been told you can get this done in Lefkosa, does anyone know location please, or if it can be done in Girne, thank you

hi lee drive to lefkosia, turn left at the main roundabout towards ercan airport. on the left you will see kombos mercedes dealer. turn left here and after you pass the main customs buiding on the right, there will be another right hand turn where you drive in to the the government m.o.t buiding. the weighbridge is in this complex. i do not know if you can just get your car weighed without going for an official mot to obtain the legal paper work

Hi, There is a weighbridge at the Cement Factory which is on the little Industrial Estate behind Jashans. I don't know if the printed 'tally slip' from there is acceptable to the Car Tax Office, or what the charge is to have a vehicle weighed (nominal, I should imagine). Perhaps someone else can advise on this.
