| Hi y’all, As it is nearing that time of year when barbecues are becoming popular I wish to ask: Where would I find designated picnic sites in the north for barbies? Is there a ready supply of disposable barby sets? Are private barbies allowed on beaches? Are barbies a popular ‘way of life’ in the north. I look forward to any help to my enquiries. Regards TC |

| There's a large site between Girne and Lefkosa close to the top of the mountains on the left hand side. Or on a weekend many people use the Hz. Homer Tubesi site at Catalkoy. Disposible BBQ sets are available and it's best to get them when you see them in the supermarket. They tend to move very quickly over a weekend. Beach barbies haven't really taken off here, but back garden ones are very popular over the weekend, especially sundays when it becomes a family affair. |
