Went there Tuesday and will not ever go again..terrible food, terrible service, we waited over an hour for our starter and it wasn't worth the wait. The only good part was Andy doing the music and entertaining.

Thank you Dee.... You so kind. Nice to see a full house for my last gig in TRNC (well for a while anyway). Thank you to all who have come along and supported me.

We also went on Tuesday and had a lovely meal as always, couldn't fault it. Always get a warm welcome from Rustan & co. Sorry to hear you thought different. We go regularly and have never had cause to complain but appreciate sometimes it happens in the best of places.

Jasmina I am glad you enjoyed your meal, maybe it was an off night but waiting for an hour and a half for a starter is not acceptable esp when those that came in after us were served before us...very bad service.

I've always had good service, good food and left feeling well looked after. I wouldn't wait more than a few minutes without asking what had happened to my order. Don't know how you were kept for an hour and a half, Dee.

Going back to the subject!!

We have always found the service and food very good at Sheraz. Staff have always been attentive and helpful.Food very good with no complaints. When there was a wait of twenty minutes they were very apologetic. Will be going again week after next.

i dont think any1 would wait over a hour for a starter without asking at least 1 of the waiters,HERE ABDUL,WERES ME FOOD

i really think theres some porkies going on here!

and if you are prepaired to sit there over a hour waiting for your scran,Starters, then more the fool you!

when ive eaten there, the food was always good, well presented, and very tasty, and cooked fresh, and normal 15 to 20 mins wait if busy.

maybe mcdonalds service might be better for some!

We all have off days, even me. Methinks the best restaurant in Girne is Niazi's, by a distance. But, the first time we went there, we left after one drink, disgusted with the service, lack of, and vowing never to return. Did though and loved it. Had good and bad experiences at just about every place we've been. One or two were so bad that I'd never go back but think it would be gauche to mention them, especially as two of them are among a buddies favourites. Like I said, everyone is entitled to an off day.

Unless he's England's goalkeeper.

We walked out of Manne Penne (sorry if spelling wrong) by the new harbour roundabout earlier in the year. First time there, really hot day, we sat down, waitress gave us menus, we looked then waited for her (or someone) to take our drinks order. Waiters walked past us three or four times, I tried to catch the attention of the girl who had given us the menus, but nothing. 7 or 8 minutes had passed, it was very early evening, so not busy, so I said to my wife "Come on, I'm not having this" and we got up and left. Ended up in Sheraz and had a lovely evening.

Zerochlor please not call me a liar, and for your information we did ask when our starter would be coming and we were told in a few minutes, we then continued to wait , wait and wait.

Clearly you are used to eating sub-standard shite.

My partner and I where there that night and there were no porkies told, we did ask where our food was and we did wait an hour and half for our starter. I also got told off by the waiter for missing the call for my main meal. (not intentional as I was hungry!!!) The service was awful and we wont be going back. That was our first visit there and it will be our last. There are too many restaurants on the island to choose, so bad service and rude waiters wasnt very impressive The restaurant was busy and we all understand you cant do everything for everyone but the wait was unacceptable. Other couples arrived after we had ordered and they ate their meals, paid and left before we got our main meal!!!!

Thanks mags for the support and yes we were treated appallingly and I will not return either, as you say there are lots of Indian restaurants here and this one is sub standard.

You know, i was reading this thread and i noticed that standstill was quoting the miss-use of capitals in the title...well, i'm sorry but....in the title, there are no capitals, except the begining of words which would make it grammatically correct....sheesh!!!

Anyway i wish someone would open a curry house in the now empty restaurant across the road from me in Karsiyaka!!

We were there yesterday and it was extremely busy, Munsab told me that they had served 168 meals that day. The meal we had was beautiful, hot, served within half an hour of the order and the lads were very pleasant. They had tables of 8-10 or more coming in and the guys were rushing around putting the tables in or out as the guests wanted. Our guests were very impressed.
